Africa Day Commemorates By UPF-Congo Brazzaville

Brazzaville, Congo—Over 120 participants joined UPF-Congo Brazzaville to celebrate Africa Day on June 8, 2018, at the Ministry of Justice. In addition to honoring the UN’s founding of Africa Day 55 years ago on the occasion of the creation of the Organization for African Unity, the event offered the occasion to honor two new Ambassadors for Peace and to receive a report of UPF’s first World Africa Summit in Dakar, Senegal, in January 2018. The conference carried the overall theme “New Africa: Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity, and Universal Values.”
Dr. Julien Moufonda, vice chairman of UPF, read the UN’s commentary for this year’s Africa Day. Following a video of the Dakar summit meeting, Mr. Clement Tsana, UPF secretary general, gave a message about UPF that included a report about the summit conference. Rev. Norbert Ndielle, director of Congo Brazzaville’s chapter of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, then explained UPF’s principles of peace. Read More
