Gagnoa, Côte d’Ivoire —  Under the guidance of Chairman H.E. AKA Sayé Lazare, President of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Côte d’Ivoire, and at the initiative of Vice-President Dr. Ambroise A. KESSIÉ, the UPF celebrated the 2024 edition of the National Peace Day. The event took place over two days, Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17, in the village of Kripahio, located in the sub-prefecture of Gagnoa.

During the two-day event, Peace Ambassadors received training on various essential topics to strengthen their commitment to peacebuilding. These topics included the Five Principles of Peace Ambassadors, which highlight the core values and responsibilities of their role. Participants also explored the life and vision of the UPF founder, gaining insight into the foundational philosophy of the organization. Another important module was the Principle of Creation, which delves into the purpose and ideal of human existence as envisioned by God. Discussions also addressed the concept of the destruction of God's ideal, commonly referred to as "the fall," and its impact on humanity. The training concluded with a focus on family restoration through the Blessing, emphasizing the importance of creating harmonious and peaceful families as a foundation for world peace.

The highlight of the event was the ceremony for the presentation of attributes of distinction, held on the afternoon of Sunday, November 17, in the village's public square. Mr. DJÉDJÉ Bagnon Joachin, President of the Regional Council of Gôh, presided over the ceremony. In the presence of the Chairman, nine new Peace Ambassadors were officially inducted and pledged their commitment to actively contribute to the growth and success of the organization.

The successful execution of all activities over these two days was coordinated by the Secretary-General of UPF Côte d’Ivoire, H.E. KOUAKOU Kouablan, with the support of other secretariat members.

This commemoration imbued with spiritual significance and a strong sense of unity, reinforced the participants' dedication to building lasting peace in Côte d’Ivoire and beyond.
