Lomé, Togo  On Monday, October 7, 2024, a meeting was held at the royal court of the Secretary General of the National Council of Traditional Leaders in Lomé. The gathering included 15 participants, among them a delegation from UPF-Togo (UPF-TG).

The purpose of the meeting was to introduce UPF to the esteemed traditional leaders and to recognize them as Ambassadors for Peace at the national level. Currently, 20% of these leaders are already members of the association. This initiative aims to strengthen their involvement and facilitate their training to further promote peace.

At the end of the meeting, participants shared advice, and encouragement, and enthusiastically accepted the proposal, marking a significant step in fostering collaboration between UPF and traditional leaders for peacebuilding in Togo.
