Not forgetting Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Dr. Yun recalled the principles of interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universal values that represent the fundamental solution to achieving a world of sustainable peace proposed by UPF co-founder Mother Moon.
Addressing the participants gathered at the official opening ceremony, Dr. Yun said, "Your Excellencies, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, it is an honor and a privilege for me to announce the organization of the AFRICA SUMMIT 2023 in Abuja, Nigeria,". And, "In May and September, I met with President Macky Sall, Chairman of the African Union, and he accepted the summit. In September, President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria agreed to the summit and sent an official letter in November," he continued.
