Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso – On July 2, the Universal Peace Federation – Burkina Faso (UPF-BF) hosted a television program on BF1, the country’s second most-watched channel after the national broadcaster, on the theme “The Contribution of Ambassadors for Peace to the Peace Effort”.
The program, moderated by Mrs. Sinka/Dramé Kadi, Ambassador for Peace, brought together several personalities, including Secretary General Thomas Diarra, Deputy Secretary General Arouna Barré, President of the Women’s Federation for World Peace Aimée Kaboré, Director of Communications Sidi Mohamed Guigma, as well as Ambassadors for Peace such as Cheick Ouedraogo Malik, His Nobility the Chief of Tougouri Wéogo, retired Gendarmerie Commander SARE Abdrame, and members of the UPF-BF and WFWP-BF staff.
The aim was to promote peace, encourage Ambassadors for Peace to apply the five principles to strengthen national unity and the Peace Ambassador network, develop a culture of peace with greater public involvement, and promote UPF through the media.
Speakers took turns presenting the five principles, each focusing on a specific point.
This activity strengthened UPF’s visibility and allowed many people, including leaders from various backgrounds, to discover the organization thanks to BF1’s national and international reach.
