Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso — On November 23, 2024, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) of Burkina Faso organized a training session aimed at strengthening the capacities of existing Peace Ambassadors and candidates for future appointments. The session, held under the theme “Building Peaceful Families to Heal the World,” brought together participants committed to advancing the vision of peace and harmony.
The program commenced with a video presentation highlighting the lives, goals, and mission of the UPF founders and the vital role of Peace Ambassadors in achieving these objectives. The session provided an in-depth understanding of the UPF's principles and dedication to fostering peace on all levels of society.
A key segment of the training was led by Mr. Guigma Sidi Mohamed, the head of communications at UPF-BF, who delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Five Principles of Peace Ambassadors. He emphasized the importance of placing God, the sole creator, at the center of individual, familial, societal, national, and global life. He further stressed the promotion of family values as a foundation for achieving lasting peace worldwide.
The next presentation, delivered by Professor SAM Justin, the national coordinator of the Interreligious Association for Peace and Development (IAPD), focused on the causes and resolution of conflicts. His insights shed light on practical approaches to conflict management and resonated strongly with the participants.
Following this, the UPF Secretary-General, Mr. DIARRA Thomas, shared a heartfelt testimony about the lives of the UPF founders, Reverend Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon. Participants were deeply moved by the founders' profound sacrifices and unwavering dedication to the cause of peace and reconciliation.
