Zambia ― On September 20, 2024, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Zambia, in collaboration with the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), Women Federation for World Peace, and the International Association for Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP), joined the global community to commemorate the United Nations International Day of Peace. This year's theme, "Cultivating a Culture of Peace," resonated deeply with the event's purpose for this year, which marks the 25th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace.
Charitable Donation and Community Engagement
The celebration took place at Matero After Care, commonly known as Home of Old People, in Lusaka. UPF staff, WFWP executives, IAYSP members, and Ambassadors for Peace donated essential food items, including cooking oil, mealie meal, Soya beans, and washing soap powder, to 54 beneficiaries. These donations aimed to support the vulnerable residents of the center.

David Isaac Phiri, FFWPU, emphasized the importance of recognizing the divine in others, as humanity is created in God's image.
Appreciation and Gratitude
