Kano State, Nigeria ― On September 28, 2024, Kano State hosted a successful Interfaith Summit organized by UPF Nigeria to bring together Christian and Muslim leaders in discussions aimed at fostering peace and harmony between the two faiths. The event was mobilized by the UPF State Coordinator and supported by Ambassadors for Peace, who encouraged active participation from both community and religious leaders. The summit received enthusiastic engagement and was celebrated as a positive step towards interfaith cooperation.
Meanwhile, planned events in Niger and Borno States were unfortunately canceled. The Niger State event was postponed due to the governor’s absence, while severe flooding in Borno turned into a national disaster, preventing any gatherings.
