Lecture on the Significance of the Blessing Inspires Ambassadors for Peace and in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – On Saturday, August 16, 2025, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Ethiopia organized a special lecture program on the importance and significance of the Blessing, bringing together Ambassadors for Peace (AFPs) and guests for an afternoon of inspiration and reflection. The program, held at the UPF center office and attended both onsite and online, gathered a total of six participants – four in person and two online.
The lecture was designed to help participants understand why the Blessing is the ultimate goal of the Unification movement and the foundation for true peace. The speaker emphasized that while the principles of peace promoted by UPF are good and meaningful, they must find their fulfillment in the Blessing, which is essential for building families that embody love, harmony, and peace.
Drawing from the presentation “The Family as the Cornerstone for World Peace and Unification,” the lecture highlighted the family’s central role in the realization of peace. Participants were reminded that the Blessing is not only a personal or spiritual milestone but also a universal path to fostering unity and reconciliation within societies and nations.
The program deeply touched the participants, as reflected in their heartfelt testimonies. Mr. Abel, a journalist invited by Prof. Wendweson (recently appointed as an AFP), shared his appreciation for the depth of the lecture, noting how it illuminated the spiritual and social relevance of the Blessing. Mr. Memeher Mulat Kebede, an Ambassador for Peace from the Orthodox Church, also offered an inspiring reflection, expressing how profoundly the message resonated with his faith and personal commitment to peace.
The gathering concluded with a spirit of gratitude and renewed determination, as participants expressed their desire to carry forward the vision of the Blessing as a cornerstone of peacebuilding. The event was documented with a short video recording, participant photo, and reflections, which stand as testimony to the impact of the program.
The lecture on the Significance of the Blessing in Ethiopia reaffirmed the centrality of the family in UPF’s peace vision, inspiring both AFPs and guests to embrace the call to action and become pioneers of peace through the Blessing.
