Tabora City, Tanzania — On March 10, 2025, a major celebration marking Peace and Reconciliation Day was held in Arusha City, Tanzania. The event was initiated by Sheikh Dr. Alhad Musa, a dedicated Ambassador for Peace affiliated with the Universal Peace Federation (UPF). Though organized in March, the celebration commemorated the day officially observed on February 26, 2025.
The event drew over three thousand participants, including community members, religious leaders, and supporters of peace efforts. The gathering focused on the vital role of peace and reconciliation at the community, national, and global levels. Speakers emphasized that without peace and proper reconciliation strategies, no society or nation can achieve sustainable development.
Attendees expressed deep appreciation for the event, which inspired a renewed commitment to unity and dialogue. Given the strong turnout and positive feedback, the organizers plan to hold another large-scale Peace and Reconciliation event in Tanzania soon.
