São Tomé and Príncipe ― In August 2024, São Tomé and Príncipe hosted a gathering of religious leaders to address pressing societal concerns, including the collapse of family values and the dangers confronting youth. This foundational meeting sought to pave the way for the establishment of the International Association of Development Partners (IADP) and to inspire future national-level discussions.
Building on this initiative, an October 2024 meeting welcomed key participants, including Pastor Juvenço Baia from the Associação dos Jovens Beneficientes da Mudanças and Pastor Barreto from the Deeper Life Church. Discussions focused on further advancing the goals of the IADP.
Looking forward, São Tomé and Príncipe plans to convene journalists this month to discuss the formation of the International Media Association for Peace (IMAP), furthering efforts to promote collaboration and dialogue for peace across diverse sectors.
