Burkina Faso ― On September 21, 2024, the Universal Peace Federation of Burkina Faso (UPF-BF) organized a capacity-building session for both current and prospective Ambassadors for Peace in honor of the International Day of Peace. The event aimed to strengthen the understanding of UPF’s mission and the role of Ambassadors for Peace in fostering peace and harmony.
The program began with a video presentation introducing the UPF Founders, as well as the organization's goals, mission, and the role of Ambassadors for Peace. Following this, Mr. Guigma Sidi Mohamed, head of the communication department at UPF-BF, delivered a presentation on the Five Principles of Peace. He emphasized the importance of placing God, the creator, at the center of our lives at every level—individual, family, society, nation, and even globally. Additionally, he stressed the significance of promoting family values as a foundation for achieving a peaceful world.
The next presentation was delivered by Secretary General Diarra Thomas, who provided a report on the key activities of UPF-BF since its launch in Burkina Faso on November 17, 2005. He highlighted the progress made and the continued commitment to peacebuilding in the country.
A total of 55 Ambassadors for Peace and future Ambassadors participated in the session, expressing their satisfaction with the training and reaffirming their full support for UPF’s mission.
