Kampala, Uganda – Throughout the month of September 2025, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF–Uganda) conducted a series of impactful school outreach programs aimed at promoting peace and conflict resolution among students. The sessions were held at various schools in Kampala, with key participation from Ambassadors for Peace who shared their insights on the importance of peace in shaping the future of Uganda.

Peace High School – Schools Outreach by Ambassador for Peace Bishop Deogratius Mugarura

Bishop Deogratius Mugarura, an Ambassador for Peace, led a session at Peace High School, engaging students in discussions on peacebuilding and the critical role that youth play in fostering harmony. His message centered around the importance of tolerance, collaboration, and conflict resolution, urging students to become ambassadors of peace within their communities. Bishop Mugarura’s talk inspired the students to recognize their potential as future leaders who can shape a peaceful society. -
Gifted Hands School – Schools Outreach Program by Ambassador for Peace Godfrey Mulungi

Ambassador for Peace Godfrey Mulungi spoke to the students of Gifted Hands School about the value of peace and how they can actively contribute to creating peaceful environments. His address emphasized that peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the presence of positive relationships and cooperation. He encouraged students to practice empathy, respect, and non-violent communication both at school and in their homes. Ambassador Mulungi’s presentation was well received, and students expressed their eagerness to integrate peacebuilding into their daily lives. -
Peace High School – Celebration of World Peace Day

Peace High School marked World Peace Day with a full day of peace-related activities. This event included speeches from several Ambassadors for Peace and community leaders, who spoke about the importance of peace in both the local and global context. The students participated in peacebuilding workshops and collaborative activities designed to teach conflict resolution skills and promote cooperation among peers. The students took active roles in discussions and pledged to create a culture of peace at their school and beyond.
These school outreach events, held across various dates and locations in September, were part of UPF–Uganda’s ongoing efforts to engage young people in peacebuilding activities. By involving Ambassadors for Peace and local community leaders, UPF aims to inspire the next generation of leaders to champion peace, unity, and mutual respect in their communities. The program demonstrated the significant impact of youth-driven peace initiatives and reinforced the role that schools can play in shaping a more peaceful Uganda.
