The country has a historical foundation in agriculture, notably in subsistence farming and cotton production. Recognizing the need for economic diversification, Burkina Faso is actively promoting industries such as mining, energy, and infrastructure development to bolster its economic resilience. Through initiatives to attract foreign investment and foster innovation, the nation is navigating a trajectory of economic transformation, addressing historical challenges, and striving for sustained and inclusive growth. Brief presentation of UPF
Established in Burkina Faso on November 17, 2005, UPF gained official recognition from the Ministry of Territorial Administration, Decentralization, and Social Cohesion on April 20, 2020 (under receipt number N° 0716801). The organization has actively undertaken various initiatives, including hosting public conferences, collaborating with Radio Télévision du Burkina (RTB) to broadcast peace messages during the 2020 Presidential elections, contributing to humanitarian efforts by providing food and items to internally displaced persons in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Solidarity, supporting education by donating school supplies to destitute pupils, engaging in environmental conservation through tree planting initiatives in collaboration with the national museum, and recognizing prominent individuals, such as Ministers, Members of Parliament, Journalists, University Professors, Economists, Defense and Security personnel, Kings, traditional chiefs, and religious leaders.
